OverviewThis gorgeous cluster of small independent fishermen’s houses is perfect for groups of friends and families with older children. Set at the water’s edge at Baia Porto Ulisse, close to the southernmost point of Sicily, Baia L’Aura is a heavenly retreat for larger groups seeking space and solitude. The beaches in this part of Sicily are renowned for their powder soft sand and crystal clear water and the nearby baroque towns of Noto, Syracuse and Modica are crammed full of art and historical treasures.
Each of the cottages looks out over white pebbled terraces and manicured lawns crossed by interconnecting wooden walkways and framed by dry stone walls. Stroll down the main path, awash with the scent of Mediterranean plants, to a large stone-paved terrace where you can relax on a sunbed under the shady pergola, at the edge of the gently lapping waves.
The first cottage is designed for communal living although it also houses the first bedroom. Terraces are decorated with restful seaside vibes, with whitewashed flooring, seagrass matting, and gentle neutral shades. Billowing white drapes frame the dining terrace where you can enjoy delicious meals with views of the sea or sit on an armchair and just drink in the view. On the adjacent terrace, sunbeds and comfy lounge style seating provide another glorious retreat in this quiet oasis. Doors open through to the living room and a well-equipped contemporary kitchen.
Accommodation at Baia L’Aura is split over 4 bright, attractively furnished cottages. The 5 double bedrooms all have an ensuite bathroom, shaded terrace, air conditioning, TV and a Nespresso coffee machine.
Bedroom 1 is next to the living room in the main cottage. There’s an ensuite bathroom with shower, and access to the terrace.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a cottage. Each has its own private entrance and veranda with sea view.
Bedroom 4 is in a standalone cottage with a shaded terrace.
Bedroom 5 is in a standalone cottage with terrace, and has an in-room slipper bath (in addition to an ensuite bathroom).

This property is listed as an 'Annual Listing' villa. This means that WishSicily does not manage payments or hold any responsibility for them. Customers are required to pay both the deposit and the full balance directly to the property owner, following the booking conditions specified by the owner. The villa has been inspected by WishSicily and meets the agency's quality standards.
- The property owner will provide you with check-in instructions before arrival.
- The service includes final cleaning, 2 hours of daily housekeeping (Mon–Sat), and weekly linen change. Cleaning occurs 11:00–14:00. Unavailable rooms won’t be cleaned. Extra hours upon request, payable directly.
- A daily laundry wash is available free of charge upon request, ironing not included. Extra washes are available at an additional cost, payable directly to the cleaning staff.
- For safety reasons, Baia L’Aura is not suitable for families with children under the age of 10.
- Refundable security deposit euro 800.
- Tourist tax: €1.00 per person per night, to be paid at check-in.
